Chelsey Logan Photography

We love Chelsea. So much so, in fact, that we actually hired her to shoot our wedding. We actually met Chelsea not as a photographer but as the Maid of Honor in her best friends’ wedding. It was there that we became friends and learned about her talents. Currently, Chelsea is very selective on the clients she takes, but is affordable and oh, so talented. We love her so much that we actually selected her for our very own wedding photographer which really means a lot.

Also, Chelsey loves our brides, so she gives them 10% off!

CArleigh Michelle Photography

We met Carleigh in the early years and we were absolutely impressed with her professionalism; also, her photos are gorgeous. We’ve been able to watch her skills develop and develop along with her.

Bonus: we will be performing Carleigh’s wedding!

Abigail Derrick Photography

We met Abigail Derrick in the field at Brittany and Vince Farinella’s wedding (pictured right). Abigail was an absolute pleasure to work with, and one of the most professional photographers we’ve seen. Her ability to change styles from moody to airy is impressive, and her professional attitude and dress is something that is sorely missed in the photography industry. Though she is based out of Springfield, MO, she travels to St. Louis quite often, and is absolutely worth every minute of travel.

Lauren T Photography

We met Lauren at Rachel and Zachary Mills’ wedding at The Gateway Center in Collinsville. I was so impressed with Lauren’s professionalism, kindness, and ability to flow with a timeline and any unexpected issues. Rachel and Zach were one of the couples affected in the Villa Marie Winery shutdown, and Rachel was key in helping our couple to find a new venue. Other than that, her art is absolutely gorgeous!

Venues

NEO on Locust

NEO on Locust is, in our opinion, one of the most beautiful venues in St. Louis. NEO is actually where Lauryn and I decided to have our wedding. Affordable pricing, a gorgeous space, and flexibility is what makes NEO special. There are two floors with event spaces, so their availability is doubled, or you can simply rent both floors.

Third Degree Glass Factory

Third Degree Glass Factory is one of our favorite spots. With beautiful, handcrafted glass decor, a neat neo-industrial space, a neat, spacious patio, and live glassblowing demonstrations, TDGF is one of St. Louis’ most unique spaces. Also, the managers and staff are second to none. Incredible space, incredible staff, incredible choice.

Valley Farms

No list would be complete without a farm venue, right? That’s where Valley Farms takes the cake. Valley Farms in Foristell, MO (just outside of O’Fallon, MO), is a gorgeous place with ample space around several acres to explore. When you pull up to Valley Farms, you simply feel at home. When you walk in and see the functional rolling door walls and draped lighting, your jaw drops.

WOW Furnishings & Events

Wow is the right name for WOW Furnishings and Events. Gorgeous event space that satisfies rustic, industrial, and traditional tastes. Not only is the place stunning, but you can bring your own vendors, bar, catering, and decor, so you can truly DIY it. Also, Barbie is a fantastic owner and such a sweet coordinator and manager. You would not be wrong to check with WOW for your day.

CAKE/Dessert

Icing Cafe

There is absolutely none better for desserts and custom cakes than Icing Cafe. We met Icing Cafe at a wedding fair a couple of years back and after all of the cake samples, I have been instructed not to return by my doctor. Their cakes are absolutely to die for, and their design is second to none. Also, centrally located between South County and Downtown, your guests’ dessert fix is never far away.

Harter Bakery

Harter Bakery is a long-time staple in the wedding cake business for St. Louis. In a room of 10 or more people, if you mention their wedding cakes, you’ll hear a few “Ooh, yeah”s. Their cakes are fabulous, the owners are so sweet and easy, and the flavor… wow.

Also, if you mention that you came from House DJ St. Louis, Harter Bakery will give you 10% off of your order!

Catering

Hollyberry Catering

Hollyberry was the caterer for Emi and Parker Van Nest’s wedding, and if you pay attention to the blog, you’ll remember that I was absolutely enamored. I love roast beef and broccoli as much as the next guy, but as a wedding pro, there’s a soft spot in my heart for non-traditional food. Hollyberry does it better than any I’ve seen: pretzel burger skewers, buffalo chicken dippers, mini pizzas, you name it. Check it out here:

Salt + Smoke

When it comes to St. Louis Barbecue, it’s hard to find one better than SALT+SMOKE. Fresh pork, beef, turkey, and chicken on a roll, some salad, and your guests will be happy. Why stop there? Mix your meat choices with up to 4 sides, and crazy affordably! Also, if you just want to plan a wedding and not spend a ton of time deciding on a bar service too, they can bring a bar to your venue if they don’t have one. Staff is friendly, food is great, menu is affordable. What are you waiting for? Check out their catering menu here:

Championship Catering

Championship Catering really impressed me at a wedding a while back, and I can’t get them out of my head. We were at Valley Farms in Foristell, and they came out earlier than most caterers would. What really impressed me was that they actually brought a mini stovetop so that they could cook foods that wouldn’t hold well on-site. So, they brought out a large pot, boiled the noodles and made the pasta right there. While the food was absolutely delish, it was the crazy amount of aforethought and professionalism that stood out to me.

VIDEOGRAPHY

Memories Media

Skyler and Kayla were the videographers for the Ferguson wedding, and took some incredible photos. Their equipment was top-notch, they were professional and flexible, and their videos are absolutely breathtaking. Even cooler? They sent us a video showcasing our service for the night! We’re proud to call them friends and would love to more vendors to follow their lead.

Stark’s Studios

For videography, Stark’s Studios is incredibly impressive. Their videos are gorgeous, their colors and edits are so natural and beautiful, and their personality shows through in their shoot and edit.

The W. Image

We met Jeffrey at the Hipp wedding, and as soon as he walked in, I was intimidated by the equipment he brought. Jeffrey was so professional to work with, and his documentary style is absolutely stunning.
